It’s almost December and all the office Christmas activities are in full gear, the ladies are taking orders for fruit cake by the pound and people are picking their pixies. I’m not a meanie but I’ve been hoodwinked every year in this pixie nonsense. Just saying the very word leaves a sour taste in my mouth. You’d feel the same way too after buying expensive gifts like curling irons and getting coffee mugs in return, no one here has ever seen me drink coffee dammit! Bah humbug!
lol I have always opted out of those pixie scams and watched from the outside as the inevitable occurs.

ReplyDeleteGussie,some offices utilize a formula regarding spending in terms of a floor and a ceiling.It is my understanding that this formula is quite effective and will prevent participating individuals from being hoodwinked, or for that matter,any form of office extortion.Nuff respect!!

Emancipated, I actually enjoy gift giving and the research that goes into finding out exactly what my pixie wants while remaining anonymous. I just get really disappointed and feel cheated when my pixie doesn’t put any thought into my gift and as a result gets me something I'll never use.
